In frameworks of the redevelopment of the Taff Vale site

With the development of new offices along the Taff Vale site, Rhondda Cynon Taff Council wants aa library/leisure hub to form part of its Taff Vale “office-led” project.
Council leader Andrew Morgan said: “The inclusion of a new fitness facility will deliver unrivalled leisure activities in a town centre – especially when you consider how these facilities will complement what is already offered by the Lido.
The council's£3.5m investment aims to offer one of the best leisure and fitness offers in South Wales, and the entire project is estimated to be completed in 2019.
Regarding the relocation of Pontypridd's library, Coun Morgan added: “The relocation of the library from its current location will deliver a 21st Century service for the centre of Pontypridd as part of the development of the statement building which is set to offer a new iconic entrance into the town.
A public exhibition about the plans will take place on March 16 and 17, in the former Housing Advice Centre, 10-12 Gelliwastad Road, Pontypridd.
