For those who can't wait to swim!

Lido Ponty, the National Lido of Wales, is opening on the 8th of April for the 2017 season. The attraction will be open in time for the Easter holidays for a special two-week period and will remain open until the April 23rd. After that, for the summer season, Lido Ponty will be open again on the 27th of May.
From now on, children under the age of 16 will again be able to swim free at Lido Ponty, with a minimal charge of £1 for adults and £2.50 for activities in 2017.Lido Ponty will be open in the Easter period, thanks to the popularity of the outdoor activity, due to the good weather and the school holidays.
There will be an opportunity for lane swimming and more relaxed swims, and a Splash Pool for kids. Moreover, all the activities that Lido Ponty offers will be available throughout all the season, for everyone that would like to join! From fun inflatables to Aqua Scooterz, Aqua Peddlerz and Water Walkerz, there will be something for everyone.

Features at Lido Ponty include external and internal showers, heated indoor changing facilities, original wooden outdoor changing cubicles and a state-of-the-art Visitors’ Centre which tells the amazing story of The National Lido of Wales. Also, the Waterside Café, open all year around, offers many mouth-watering delights on its menu for all ages and culinary tastes.Lido Play, the childrens’ adventure park which is also open all year around, captures the imagination of younger visitors as they explore the swings, slides and tunnels in this locally-themed attraction celebrating our industrial past.

This year marks the 90th anniversary of the original opening of the lido at Ynysangharad War Memorial Park in Pontypridd, on July 30, 1927, and we strongly encourage you to join this amazing outdoor activity for water fun and relaxation!
