Your Pontypridd’s BID was set up to invest in the town, help change perceptions and reconnect people with the town centre and our latest project does all three. We’ve commissioned a series of short films showcasing what makes Ponty’s Business Improvement District unique.

Local film production company Like An Egg were chosen after a tough tender process to bring the stories, characters and businesses to life and promote the best of the local business community.

The promotional films show the vibrant night time economy, the unique retail and small businesses who call Pontypridd home and the highlight the diversity, dynamism, energy and entrepreneurship on offer in the Gateway to Valleys.

BID Manager Victoria Pulman said " Pontypridd is known historically for being a vibrant Market Town, but over the years that’s obscured many of the other hidden gems the town offers and that’s what the project is aiming to highlight to residents, visitors and students alike.

The fab four as I’m calling them prove that Pontypridd’s businesses are not only diverse, but part of a strong and supportive economy that help each other and the local community they serve. That closeness is also helping strengthen the economy in these challenging times as more people are aware of these local shops and services on their doorsteps as the range f businesses who took part will show.

Our latest project comes as the businesses are starting to grow again and how well-placed Pontypridd’s is to capitalise on the major redevelopments happening in the town and south Wales like the redevelopment of the old Taff Vale Shopping Centre and Cardiff Capital City Region ."

Over the coming weeks Your Pontypridd BID will be releasing the videos, interviews and updates on the project on our website and social media and we’re pleased to be starting today Tuesday 17th April with a local retailer Casper Harris who manages Organic Wholefoods and Homebrew a shop ahead of their time and still going strong in 2018.
