Children and families enjoyed the Your Pontypridd Easter Trail over the Easter Holidays, hunting for over twenty bunnies hidden across twenty businesses across Pontypridd. The businesses gave excellent feedback, and enjoyed seeing the children visit their shop with many of the children and parents visiting for the first time.

The winner of the Red Hamper was Seth (pictured above) who won the main large red hamper, selected by Pontypridd Museum. Seth will enjoy a hamper full of goodies from a range of shops in Pontypridd Town Centre!

10 year old Charlotte, winner of the blue hamper was selected by Brent Thomas Toys and Gifts , Charlotte completed the Easter Trail for the second year running, and her hard work finding the bunnies finally paid off! Charlotte was very happy, and she is already looking forward to doing future Your Pontypridd trails!

Finally, Alana aged 3, was selected by The Kraft Kabin to win the green hamper full of Ponty goodies! Alana was the lucky winners after her three brothers all completed the trail as well!

We hope you all enjoyed going around the great businesses in Pontypridd finding the bunnies, we now look forward to Halloween where the BID will be running a spooky trail throughout the town! A special thank you to the twenty businesses who participated.

Bravery, innovation, leadership, selflessness: just some of the attributes that were celebrated last night with the return of the annual South Wales Police Awards last night. The awards, held at Brangwyn Hall in Swansea, recognised officers, staff, volunteers and partners who have gone above and beyond for the force and the communities served by South Wales Police. The Taff Neighbourhood Policing Team which serves the community of Pontypridd, were nominated for two awards - the Police Community Support Officer of the Year Award & the Police and Crime Commissioner Exceptional Problem Solving in Partnership Award. The Taff team were successful in securing both awards, a major achievement for the town's local Policing team. The first award for the Taff Neighbourhood Policing Team went to PCSO Hannah Lowe who was described as the "Heart and soul of Pontypridd town" - Hannah Lowe, who is committed to tackling crime and disorder and is an integral part of initiatives including Pontypridd Outreach, a Halloween trail and a building painting project. Please see the video below from South Wales Police Twitter page showing Hannah's reaction to receiving the award:
