ADVICE ON LEVY BILLS FOR 2020/2021

Your Pontypridd Business Improvement District is aware that a result of the government support of rates relief due to COVID-19, many businesses will have questions relating to their levy payments.

We appreciate that this a very uncertain time for your business, therefore we are freezing the enforcement period specified in the Demand Notices due to the outbreak of Covid-19 to allow a 3 month delay of payment, after three months we will review the situation to see if the enforcement period needs to be delayed further before returning to the standard collection procedure.

We are continuing to work closely with BID industry bodies and Welsh Government to request further support for levy payers over the coming weeks and months.

Since the ballot in 2016, Your Pontypridd has worked in partnership with it's levy payers, to promote and protect the BID area for the benefit of all business owners and visitors. Now, more than ever, the BID's role is vital to ensure this work continues. If you a national/large business please pass this statement on to your Area Managers or Head Office contacts so that they are aware of this.

For any queries please contact Projects Officer James Payne by email - james@yourpontypridd.co.uk or by phone on 07872307676.

The Taff Neighbourhood Policing Team which serves the community of Pontypridd, were nominated for two awards - the Police Community Support Officer of the Year Award & the Police and Crime Commissioner Exceptional Problem Solving in Partnership Award. The Taff team were successful in securing both awards, a major achievement for the town's local Policing team.
